Elbasan has turned into a construction site, with works going on from
all sides for rehabilitating the main roads of the city, which were
inspected today by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The new roads will have illumination from street lamps that save energy, according to the Mayor of Elbasan.
Rama addressed a speech to the people of Elbasan, considering this project as very important in a time when the new territorial reform extends the municipality.
“For four years, we have promised to realize for Elbasan and other urban areas more than have been done in 23 years in total. The Mayor can tell you that the fund received by Elbasan for this project is bigger than what the city has taken in ten years. The Elbasan municipality is working in eight projects for a long-term development”, Rama declared.
Walking on the streets with citizens, Rama inspected the painting of the facades and then told the Mayor:
“The sidewalks should be wide, not like those of Berisha when husband and wife had to walk in line”, Rama declared.
