Filmi “Oppenheimer” nga Christopher Nolan, për njeriun që pati një rol kryesor në krijimin e bombës atomike, ishte edhe prodhimi më i vlerësuar në ceremoninë e 96-të të çmimeve Oscar. “Oppenheimer” ka dominuar sezonin e çmimeve të këtij viti, ndërsa publiku mbush sallat e kinemave për të parë yllin e Cillian Murphy në rolin e shkencëtarit enigmatik, i cili në vitin 1945 deklaroi: “Tani, unë jam bërë vdekja, shkatërruesi i botëve”.
“Kam ëndërruar për këtë moment për kaq shumë kohë, por tani që jam këtu, gjithçka më ka ikur nga koka”, tha producentja Emma Thomas, që falënderoi bashkëshortin, fëmijët dhe të gjithë ekipin.
“Kam pasur një përvojë të mrekullueshme mbi 20 vjet me Chris dhe Emma-n. Ishte ngazëllyese të punoja me ta”, u shpreh producenti Charles Roven.
Filmi ishte i nominuar në 13 kategori dhe fitoi 7, përfshirë filmin më të mirë, regjisorin më të mirë për Christopher Nolan, aktorin më të mirë për Cillian Murphy dhe aktorin më të mirë dytësor për Robert Downey Jr.
