Zagoria residents accuse company of illegally cutting forests

Zagoria residents say that the Libohova municipality has allowed a local company to violate their contract.

The company has illegally changed the parcel agreed to use for lumber, destroying this way a new forest.

Residents demand a damage assessment of the Topova village forest before a new agreement is signed.

Mayor Luiza Mandi admits that there has been massive deforestation in Zagoria, but the damage was not caused by the company contracted by the municipality, but by private individuals who have not been identified.
