Zaganjori withdraws candidacy for president

With this declaration, Zaganjori announced his withdrawal from the race, a declarations that opens many scenarios and the possibility for consensus.

“I do not accept to be a candidate for the fourth round. For me, it is very important the fact that the opposition has not trust on me, and they would prejudge any decision that I would take in a time when Albania is facing extraordinary challenges. We have the electoral reform, the elections of the next year, the justice reforms, Albania’s EU candidate status, and so on. In these conditions, I am fully convinced to withdraw. I know that some analysts will say that there have been pressures, there have been meetings. I don’t regret anything. I thank the people that suggested my candidacy and I wish this process ends with an adequate candidate”, zaganjori declared.

Zaganjori added that he has not communicated his decision through anyone, because he was not an official candidate.
