The Delegation of the Venice Commission has met with the President of
the Supreme Court, Xhezair Xaganjori, focusing on the constitutional
amends planned by the justice reform commission.
Zaganjori said that the justice reform process has been followed closely by judges, and that the Supreme Court has its representatives in the work groups established for this goal.
He underlined that this process is necessary for Albania, since there are many problems that need to be addressed.
Zaganjori said this should be done by finding mechanisms that can guarantee the independence of the judiciary, its efficiency, transparence and fight against corruption.
