Dozens of young students with average grades higher than 7.5 were
registered for continuing studies at professional high schools.
The Minister of Social Welfare, Erion Veliaj, declared that after 20 years, the number of students that are being registered in these schools has increased with 40%.
“Professional education registrations have increased with 40%, compared to one year ago. We congratulate the teachers for this record. It offers more jobs in today’s market”, Veliaj declared.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Niko Peleshi, who has finished a professional high-school, says that these schools are a good opportunity of employment for the children of today.
“There is a big paradox and handicap in Albania. On one hand we complain about high unemployment, but on the other hand there are many businesses and institutions that cannot fill their vacancies for months, and even years, because they don’t find specialists. Professional high-schools mean understanding what the market demands”, Peleshi declared.
For the first time, the professional high school boards will have business representatives whose duty is to have students pass their credits at their businesses.
