The Court of Appeal released the Mayor of Kamza, Xhelal Mziu, who was arrested over power abuse.
The court chanted the arrest measure to obligation to appear in court, and declared that there are no causes or circumstances to keep the mayor in prison.
According to the defense lawyer, Genci Gjokutaj, the head of the Kamza Municipality has not abused with his power.
There have been several legal debates behind the closed doors, but the court ruled that there are no causes or circumstances for Mziu to stay in prison.
Several Kamza supporters applauded the court’s ruling. Mziu was left in prison over charges for power abuse and inequality in public tenders.
