The mosque “Xhamia e Plumbit” is among the oldest in Albania, and is about to get ruined.
No investment for restoration has been done for the past 40 years. The mosque is in the center of Vlore and has been built 500 years ago by Architect Sinani.
This mosque is a monument of culture.
Clergyman Hito Shanaj declared that the situation is not good, since winter is coming and the roof of the mosque might go down.
“They are doing some small works with the dirt and debris, but more must be done for preserving this work of art”.
Vlore has several monuments that require an immediate intervention.
