The Albanian Minister of Defense, Olta Xhacka, rejected the accusations of the opposition, which claims that the Armed Forces became part of the international drug traffic by turning off radars on Albania’s sea.
“The marine monitoring system is completely operational and the people who monitor it have been working 24/7. The operative center has representatives from seven different institutions”, the Minister declared.
Xhacka asked politicians to not throw mud on the work of people in uniform. For whoever has compromising information for these accusations, Xhacka says:
“If one of these seven institutions fails to notice anything wrong, there are six others watching. If all of them failed to notice, then we are also interested to know how it is possible. Whoever has information should report it at the respective institutions and we are interested for this to happen as well”, Xhacka declared.
