Albania has a high number of employees in tourism and is listed as the
third country in the world that secures most of its jobs from this
sector.

Based on data from the World Travel and Tourism Council, 24% of the jobs, or one in four persons, are hired by the tourism industry.

“After being isolated from the world for 50 years, Albania cannot be considered yet a high profile destination. But visitors are attracted by the unknown characteristics, mainly in the Riviera and Alps”, the WTTC said.

According to the report of this institution, enterprise in this sector is flourishing, with ancient objects being the strongest part.

Most of the related jobs are for cooks, hotel staff, tour guides, cruise crew, economists, designers, engineers, laundry and food producers.
