World Customs Organization secretary-general, Kunio Mikuriya, the highest ranking official of this organization, is visiting Albania to have a closer look to our custom’s system and to the problems of the business.
Mikuriya met yesterday the General Director of Customs, Flamur Gjymishka, and other representatives of the Customs General Office.
Mikuriya suggested that the simplified procedures should be inserted step by step, treating carefully each case in order to guarantee the fulfillment of the necessary requirements.
There has been an agreement for sending in our country a group of experts from the World Customs Organization, which will help the Albanian Custom Administration to compile a strategic plan that will clearly express the need for development, in order to enable an appropriate assistance in the future, according to the respective needs.
