The president of Serbia, Alexandar Vucic, had planned to address his people on June 16th through the Serbian public television, to announce the offer made by Western countries regarding Kosovo.
The daily Serbian newspaper Danas said that he postponed it due to the World Cup.
Danas said that Vucic has not given up his plans to discuss the matter the soonest possible, but the world cup could postpone it.
The impression of the President may be that no one wants to hear about Kosovo during the cup, according to the Serbian daily.
Brussels authorities confirmed that Vucic will meet with the president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, in Brussels.
The declaration came from the offices of the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy, Federica Mogherini, who has turned into an intermediator for the dialogue process.
Mogherini explained that the presidents will continue their work for normalizing the relations by reviewing the current agreements and discussing the upcoming steps towards intensive talks.
