The World Bank warns that direct foreign investments will have a significant drop in the next two yearsm, from 8.3% of the GDP to 7% in 2018 and 5.6% in 2019, with a total of 300 million EUR less.

Official sources from the World Bank say that this prediction is due to the completion of two major projects, the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline and the Devoll Cascade.

Direct foreign investments have fluctuated from 8% to 9% during the past four years, being the main generators of the economic growth. For this reason, the World Bank has reduced the economic growth prediction to 3.5% for 2018, from 3.5% that it used to be.
