The World Bank offers 200 million USD to promote economic integration of Western Balkan, after regional leaders promised to increase cooperation towards EU accession.

The announcements were made in a high-level conference held in Sofia, Bulgaria, where the leaders confirmed that they had agreed with the steps that need to be taken for a deeper integration, by improving infrastructure and their relations within the EU.

“It is up to us to show that Western Balkan countries bring the European block progress, not problems”, said the Bulgarian Prime Minister, Bojko Borisov.

Present in this conference were leaders of Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia and Albania, the Presidents of Kosovo and Montenegro, and the Minister of Foreign Trade of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
