Police had everyone verified before entering the courtroom for the trial
of Emiliano Shullazi, whose name was mentioned yesterday by the US
Ambassador, Donald Lu.
One of the witnesses in this trial was Ismail Dervishi. He was asked by Shullazi: “Do you know me? Have you ever seen me?”. The answer was: “I don’t know you. I have never seen you”. But the witness had given a completely different version some time ago.
According to him, when he worked as storage room manager for a firm, four people had entered the premises and one of them introduced himself as Emiliano Shullazi. He took the office’s phone and asked the owner for a meeting. But the witness denied this version, saying that the person who made the threat was not Emiliano Shullazi.
Businessman Adriatic Kercuku reminded that one month after someone had told him on the phone that he was Shullazi, waiting to meet him, his vehicle suddenly exploded.
But the businessman had never met Shullazi as well, when asked by him. Shullazi asked the third witness as well, Durim Dervishaj, and his answer was once again “no”. Shullazi asked the Court to accelerate the trial process with two sessions a week, a request that was refused.
Next Tuesday will be called to testify Rector Mynyr Koni; former Minsiter of Interior, Saimir Tahiri; the General Chief of Police, Haki Cako; Tirana University Dean, Dhori Kule and other important figures of the Tirana University, such as Klodeta Dibra, Shezai Rrokaj and Majlinda Keta.
