The Vice President of the European Parliament, Rainer Wieland, appealed that no promises should be made for the visa liberalization in Kosovo.
Rainer was visiting Prishtina when he made these declarations and added that the visa liberalization issue now is up to the European Commission and European Council.
“I appeal anyone in Europe and Kosovo to not make promises. We have not seen any paper in Parliament”, he said.
One day ago, the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, who received the President of Kosovo in Berlin, appealed Prishtina to progress more with the fight against corruption and organized crime.
A fact-collecting team was sent by the EU last week to evaluate the work done by the institutions in the fight against corruption and organized crime.
Kosovo authorities say they are trying to bring law amendments to apply harsher measures against organized crime.
