Prime Minister Edi Rama in a conversation with journalists about health situation has stated that there are suspicions that mutations of the covid-19 virus have entered Albania.
Rama further referred to the increased infections in recent days, for which he said that hospitalizations have increased even for younger ages, therefore non-implementation of the rules could restore strong restrictive measures.
“We have reasonable signals that new variants of covid 19 have entered Albania… we have an increase in infections in young age groups. We are very motivated to do everything right so as not to be forced to return to strong restrictive measures. This requires motivation from everyone. The measures in force must be implemented. “Violations of rules has been noticed recently, it is irresponsible that even politicians break the rules in political rallies”, – said Rama.
