WB: Political and energy crisis lower Albania’s economic growth

The World Bank warned that the Albanian economy is losing a positive moment, and it is expected to enter a period of slower growth.
“In the next three years, the economy of Albania will have a slower growth than 2018”, said Hilda Shijaku, Chief Economist at the World Bank.
Albania’s GDP increased with 4.06% during the last year, which is the highest growth for this decade.
The bank foresees that the economic growth will slow down with 3.8% this year, and by 2020 it will go down to 3.6%.
Among the reasons, according to the Bank, are the energy crisis and the political destabilization.
