WB, 37 million EUR to Kosovo

The World Bank gave 7 millions more than the 30 they had planned for the Kosovo government.

37 million EUR were added to Kosovo’s budget, promised earlier by the World Bank, and according to the Minister of Finances and Economy, Bedri Hamza, this completes the 62 million EUR grand that Kosovo has benefited.

Hamza declared that one of the conditions was the preservation of the macro-fiscal stability, the fulfillment of all conditions, the relation with the IMF, which have all been completed.

By valuing the money given by the World Bank, he added that it has approved the four-year-long strategy that will be realized between the Bank and Kosovo, which goes to 176 million EUR.

“Besides the reimbursement of these means for the Kosovo Budget, that certainly have a positive impact in Kosovo’s economic developments, Kosovo’s economic growth, the preservation of the macro-fiscal stability in the banking level, Kosovo has negotiated and the World Bank approved even the new four-year strategy, which goes to 176 million EUR”, declared Bedri Hamza, Minister of Economy and Finances, Kosovo.

As regards the economic growth, Hamza declared that the evaluations for the economic growth of 5% are according the plan, while all indicators for 2012 will be around 5%.
