Water reform, Ministry will cooperate with Tax Office for unpaid water connections

The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Damian Gjiknuri, declared that the water reform operation would start with businesses, after exchanging information with the tax office.
The Minister appeal citizens to make use of these last days to pay their debts: “Those who abuse with water will be fined. We will cut illegal connections. We will start it with businesses, but everyone must make good use of this period so we can formalize this in time”, Gjiknuri declared.
The Minister underlined the importance of this investment for Elbasan, and visited the construction works for the rehabilitation of the aqueduct in the 28 Nentori and Skenderbeu areas.
The project foresees replacing all main distribution lines and installing new meters. The project offers 24/7 water supply.
