Water level reduced, but 5000 hectares still flooded

The water level in many flooded areas has been lowered, but there has
been no visible improvement of the situation. Many residential buildings
were flooded while most of the evacuated home owners returned in the
morning to save what they could from the water.

The Novosela residents, an area damaged by the floods, asked the government for help to remove the water from their houses and receive compensation, especially for their cattle.

Many farmers have not abandoned their properties, despite the risks, and tried to save what they could. Farmer say that the loss in cattle is huge.

The Ministry of Interior announced this Tuesday that 5000 hectares throughout the country have been flooded. 420 families have been evacuated and food distribution has started in the mostly affected areas.

The Ministry guarantees that the situation is being monitored, while the Seman River has reached critical levels due to the high water flows.
