The President of Serbia, Alexandar Vucic, said this Tuesday from Belgrade that NATO has warned Serbia to not undertake any effort for sending troops to Kosovo.
This declaration came after several media in Serbia, supported by political representatives, claimed that Serbia should send 1000 troops to Kosovo, based on Resolution 1244 of the Security Council.
“If you try to enter with your army in Kosovo, NATO will consider it as a hostile act, and you would be creating a conflict with the highest power in Kosovo”, Vucic quoted Western officials.
According to him, this values Serbia’s position as an element of stability and security.
Vucic added that dialogue is the only solution, while he criticized the platform of Kosovo for the talks with Serbia.
The platform of Kosovo has eight points, one of which includes mutual recognition and respecting of the current borders and accession of Kosovo in the UN.
