The level of corruption in our country has increased, as shown in the latest report of the Transparency International group, where out of 180 countries considered, Albania was ranked 110th.
When you talk about corruption and the fight against it, you are remindes of a Chinese saying that says, “You can’t catch a bird in flight and corruption.”
But what are the institutions where corruption is more deeply entrenched?
“Corruption is everywhere. In health, in education, in the administration offices, in the police, in the Cadastre offices. Not only corruption, but also contempt, wandering”, says an interviewed citizen.
“I had to pay at the hospital”, says another about the health service that in Albania is supposed to be free.
“Look at these documents. I am coming from the Ministry of Finance. I have not solved a problem with the municipality of Përmet since a year and a half “, says the third citizen.
“You will see in the March 6 elections how much corruption there is in politics. “Here only the thief and the villain move forward,” says the fourth.
“Corruption is rampant. It is making young and old leave the country”, adds another.
“You go to a public office and you feel insulted, ridiculed, forced to pay a bribe, to solve a problem you have.”
