The counting of votes for the local elections is completed in 48 municipalities of Albania while it continues in 13 others.
SP in power has triumphed in 41 municipalities, Kamez, Vora, Elbasan, Pustec, Kolonje, Librazhd, Dropull, Tropoje, Roskovec, Libohovo, Rrogozhinë, Këlcyrë, Gramsh, Belsh, Përmet, Delvinë, Seleniëë, Tepelënë, Peqin, Poliçan, Devoll, Lushnjë.
Meanwhile the opposition coalition “Together We Win” has won in six municipalities Pukë, Has, Himarë, Memaliaj, Mirditë, Fushë Arrëz.
The MEGA party won in Finiq municipality.
A little while ago, the voting was also closed in Delvina, where the socialists won again, led by Besmir Veliu, with 62% of the votes.
Socialists won convincingly in Kamëz near Tirana, where Rakip Suli was re-elected as mayor with 60% of the votes.
Vora also turned pink, where Blerim Shera was elected mayor with 73% of the votes. Gledian Llatja was elected as the head of the Elbasan municipality with a result of 56% of the votes.
The fourth municipality that completed the process was Pusteci, where socialist Pal Kolefski was trusted with 63% of the votes, reports the CEC.
SP also won the municipality of Kolonja, Erion Isai secured 3873 votes, while Ethem Lumani of “Bashke Fitomje” 2150. The socialist candidate, Mariglen Disha, won in Librazhd municipality with 8922 votes, leaving behind Shefki Çota from “Bashke Fitojme” opposition coalition. In Dropull, the Socialist Party was able to win with 81.25% of the votes.
SP candidate Dhimitër Toli secured 3,709 votes, a high margin of votes against “Bashke Fitomje” and the Democratic Party.
