Vokshi: “Hospitals in a dramatic situation. Rama and Beqaj share millions”

The Democratic Party MP, Albana Vokshi, denounced this Monday the
“dramatic situation” of hospitals in our country, which, she said, is
consequence of government corruption.

“Every hospital lacks of basic elements, especially at the oncology where cancer patients are treated”, Vokshi said.

The opposition MP published facts she said were reported by patients affected by tumors.

“While Ilir Beqaj and Edi Rama pass 300 million EUR in tenders to their friends and clients, none of the cobalt equipments have been working at the oncology hospital for the past months. The linear accelerator, funded by the Democratic Party, has not started operating although it was inaugurated by the Prime Minister on the international day against cancer”, Vokshi said.

She said that the only cobalt equipment might be even dangerous, since it has not been changed in the past eight years.

“On the other hand, Edi Rama and Beqaj keep boasting and share the millions of Euros with their friends. While Rama claims that 120 million EUR given to his friend and sponsor could save 450 patients in 10 years, hundreds a year might die due to lack of treatment”, Vokshi said.
