Four people were arrested in the act while exchanging 50 kilograms of
marijuana. Three other escaped from the police, but they have been
identified.
A police officer has been injured during the operation. The Vlore Police say they had started this operation months ago. The persons involved in the drug traffic were trying to sell a considerable amount of marijuana.
The police intervened in the moment of the exchange. The traffickers refused to obey to the appeals of the Police responded with fire, leaving one officer wounded.
Police arrested Edison Begaj, 37, Eraldo Metushi, 30, Erjon Cela 32, Gjergji Dervishi, 23, all residents of Vlore.
35 police officers from the Vlore Delta Force were part of this mission. The police is also looking for three others.
