The Vlore Municipality and the Construction Inspectorate started an
action for demolishing the illegal constructions in Qafe Llogara and
other areas.
The action then moved to the Soda Forest. In this area the Vlore Municipality demolished 15 one store building, which were reconstructed after a similar action took place before the elections.
The action was followed by the Mayor of Vlore, Shpetim Gjika, who sent a message to everyone who builds without permission.
“I want to give a clear message to the residents, and tell them to not start building again, because the Vlore Municipality is determined to continue this action until September. After this month our duty is to improve the citizens’ life and the public spaces. We have a very clear program. This Monday we will continue in the Soda Forest and public beaches”, Gjika declared.
While denying being the author of the message on Facebook, which warned the demolition of an object at the “Uji i Ftohte” area, which is thought to be owned by the Mayor of Tirana, Lulzim Basha, Gjika declared: “I have never used Facebook for my official work. I use it for private purposes. My initiatives as Mayor of Vlore are related to the sacred duty for which I have been elected and for which I have all the legal spaces, especially now with the new Prime Minister and the clear mechanisms of his program, which are about to return normality to the territory of Vlore”.
On the other hand, Mayor Gjika guaranteed that these actions will not affect tourism. The action of the Vlore Municipality will continue during these days, and fortunately there has been no incident, besides some sporadic revolts of property builders.
