Vlore Chief of Police arrested by Prosecution of Serious Crimes

Hasanbegaj has been arrested as a suspect for favoring the cultivation of narcotics, becoming the first high-level official who is being arrested right after Top Channel published the news that the Prosecution General has placed 22 high-level officials under investigation.

This is another development which shows the escalation of the political situation, the clashes among institutions.

One high-level source said for Top Channel that many police leaders are on the list of surveillance by the Prosecution.

Everything started after the Prosecution General exchanged harsh debates with the US Ambassador to Tirana, Donald Lu.
