Vlore, anti-corruption operation

The Vlore Police undertook an anti-corruption operation this Monday, which brought seven people under police custody.

The news came from local police sources, saying that the suspects are accused of power abuse.

According to the sources, they are the citizens: Kleanthi Peci, responsible of Taxes at the Municipality; Lirjan Selmanaj, Chairman of the Red Cross; Gjergji Dhiamandi, Red Cross Secretary; Limoz Alia, Administrator of the Laberia Driving School; Altin Demiri, Instructor of the AMK Guberaj Driving School; Xhevahir Basha, former chairman of the Commission for Verification of Capabilities; and Luan Troka, former member of the Commission of Driving Licenses.

They are accused of corruption for giving fake driving licenses. Sources say that the Task Force Unit has also taken 19 doctors under Prosecution.
