During a public hearing session held at the Shkoder University, the EU
Ambassador to Tirana, Romana Vlahutin, declared that the fight against
corruption in the judiciary requires Constitutional amends.

But this is not enough to return the citizens’ trust, especially at the judiciary. That’s why Vlahutin advises a reformation of the High Council of Justice.

“The judiciary reform is key for the integration. They are looking for a qualified majority in Parliament. Constitutional amends are needed as regards corruption. Judges must be transparent. I think that the High Council of Justice should be reformed. This is the only way to return the citizens’ trust”, Vlahutin declared.
