The Security Parliamentary Commission passed unanimously the decision to
summon for testifying the Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri, the General
Prosecutor, Adriatik Llalla, the Chief of Police, Haki Cako, and the
Head of the Secret Service, Visho Ajazi Lika. These oifficials will be
summoned to testify about the equipment owned by the police, which,
according to the opposition, was used to hear conversations between
officials, ambassadors and journalists.
“The equipment cost is 800.000 EUR. Besides the fact that it has entered illegally, it has an element that other surveillance equipment don’t have, it can spy a phone even when it is turned off”, said the vice chairman of the Commission, Flamur Noka.
The Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, declared on Top Channel’s “Top Story” that there is no technical option to spy. Tahiri said that this equipment was received as part of a training with the Italian counterparts, signed since when the Interior Ministry was led by Bujar Nishani, today President of Albania.
The Socialist Movement for Integration MP, Luan Rama, said that involving the Interforce Mission in this history is a scandal of another level.
The General Secretary of the Democratic Party, Arben Ristani, reiterated from the DP headquarters the accusations of the opposition, that the President, Ambassador, media leaders, journalists and others have been spied.
