A ceremony was held at the Bularat village to commemorate the Greek extremist who fired against a patrolling police and died on the process, before the celebrations of a Grek national day.

During his funeral, the mother reacted with a very harsh language against the Albanian people, making violent appeals.

“Break their faces! Hang them! Kill them off. They are traitors. There is no government here. Northern Epirus is Greek. We are Greek. We will fight and nothing will stop us. I am proud of you, my son”, she said and was followed by applauds.

One year ago, while the town was being decorated with Greek flags for the Greek national celebrations, her son took a machine gun and fired against a patrol of the Albanian police. The Special Forces were called. Katsifa resisted to their calls to surrender and was killed by the police forces.
