A market in the city of Vlora was shut down today due to non-compliance with physical distancing rules put in effect to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection.
This was one of the three so-called “rice markets”markets, which was closed by decision of the prefect and the local AKU food authority.
The traders then protested in front of the town hall, demanding a return to work.
AKU ordered the municipality of Vlora to stop the circulation of vehicles within the market, for the time to set social distancing marks and regulations.
Work continues normally in other markets of the city.
