After Tirana greeted Vienna last November, the Austrian capital is turning its favour with a visit to Albania, with a gala night.
Johan Sattler, the Austrian Ambassador to Albania, underlined the friendship of both countries and said that there are 50,000 Albanians living, working and studying in Austria, many of whom with very successful roles.
The Viennese and Albanian music will merge into one with materials from Mozart, Straus and Brahms, with performances from Inva Mula, Vikena Kamenica, Genc Tukici and many other artists.
Ramon Vargasi will be for the first time on the Albanian scene.
“This is a very spiritual concert, same as this very rich culture. The reflection of the Austrian culture should have this impact in Albania”, said Soprano Inva Mula.
Violinist Benjamin Ziervogel underlined: “This is a very special activity. It is strange how two cultures function so well not only on the stage but also musically. I refer to the cooperation with Genc Tukici. I am happy to be part of this concert which had a big success in Vienna”.
The Vienna Salutes Tirana concert is being held today at the Palace of Congresses.
