Elbasan Prosecution has reopened the investigations for a notorious event that took place in this city in 1997.
Five unidentified persons shot Kastriot Dervishi, member of Tan Kateshi’s gang. Dervishi was wounded, while two other people who were with him died on the spot.
Coroner and forensic experts were present in the exhumation of Arben Shkodrani and his friend Alfir Sadushi.
According to the prosecution, the exhumation is being performed for verifying what caused the death of the two young people. The uncle of Alfir Sadushi says for Top Channel that this event should have been solved earlier.
Prosecution says that unofficial eye witnesses had declared that the real target was Kastriot Dervishi, and that the murderers have even asked Arben and Alfir to leave. After a harsh debate, the killers have shot all three of them.
Kastriot Dervishi, who is serving his 23 year sentence in the Peqin Prison, has not released any declaration for the ambush set for him and where he was wounded.
Police has asked an international search for two citizens, while the three other suspects were killed later during the years.
Exhumed after one year even the “suicidal” woman
Another old history has surfaced, for the exhumation of a woman that according to the police had committed suicide.
The family members of the victim have made the Court to order the exhumation of the woman, for learning more about the causes of her death.
“We are sure that she has been killed. She had two children and was pregnant with the third. I guarantee you that suicide was the last thing going into her mind”, declared his brother.
