The political crisis, which started this February with the opposition boycotting the Parliament, has brought in Tirana Mrs. Katja Leikert, vice leader of the CDU-CSU Parliamentary Group form the German “bundestag”.
Leikert has come in Tirana on a mission, to measure the pulse of the Albanian politics and see how eager would they be to resolve the crisis.
Yesterday she met with the Albanian President, Ilir Meta, behind closed doors. It remains unknown what they discussed about.
Top Channel’s journalist, Muhamed Veliu, declared that Leikert has een in a 90-minute meeting with the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, and is about to meet the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama.
