Vetting sent to Venice Commission, Constitutional Court translated it with urgency

The translated Vetting Law arrived at the Venice Commission after the Constitutional Court completed it within three days.

The President of the Constitutional Court, Bashkim Dedja, said for Top Channel that the material was sent this Friday together with the respective questions, which reflect the dilemmas of the judges who issued the suspension verdict.

The questions are if the Vetting Law respects the European Convention for Human Rights standards, especially the two articles that determine the right for a fair trial and for privacy.

The Vetting Law allows surveillance on phones and other communication means of people who will work in the new Vetting institutions and especially the ones for the Special Prosecution Against Corruption.
