45 highest leaders of the Albanian State Police will undergo the triple vetting process during this month.
The opening of the public sessions in this October was confirmed for Top Channel by the Outer Commission of Evaluation, the institution that will vet the police officers.
But why are the hearing sessions not held yet, while the Deputy Interior Minister, Julian Hodaj, had declared in public that the police would have started the first two months?
The Commission says that the administrative investigation process is very complex and dynamic, which requires its own time. In order to realize the process in a more accurate way, several information requests have been sent to public and private institutions, which not only need time to answer but sometimes there is also the need to investigate in new areas”, the Commission says.
