Vetting of candidates for High Council of Prosecution started today

The independence commissioners are vetting five Tirana Prosecutors who are candidates for the High Council of Prosecution.

Prosecutors Dritan Rreshka, Adriatik Cama, Shpetim Kurti, Arben Nela and Antoneta Sevdari will be verified.

The Prosecution General cast lots for selecting five cases for each candidate that has led investigations since 2013.

For this reason, the case against two former CEZ executives, Josef Hejsek and Jan Ivan, was cancelled today. The Czech citizens are accused of fraud with serious consequences.

Former Czech directors at CEZ are demanding for the case to be suspended, claiming that the agreement reached between the Albanian government and CEZ excludes them from investigation.
