After the US Ambassador spoke about cowards who fear the Vetting Law and
who are delaying the justice reform, Maja Kocijancic, The Spokesperson
for Foreign Policy and Security at the EU, has also answered to the
accusations of the Albanian Democratic Party, who claim that EURALIUS
has manipulated the translation sent to the Venice Commission.

“The EU condemns the spreading of false accusations claiming that EURALIUS and the EU delegation are involved in intentional translation mistakes of the Albanian legislation that were sent to the Venice Commission”, the declaration says.

Kocijancic notes the Albanian support on the justice reform, which includes the Vetting law.

“The actions and declarations that aim to create artificial confusion, seem like they only want to delay the implementation of the justice reform, including the assessment of Judges and Prosecutors”, the reaction says.

Kocijancic added that the EU is determined to offer all the necessary assistance, so that Albanian citizens can have a better approach of a credible and responsible justice system.
