Veliaj: “Tirana Smart City, 4000 new bicycles will arrive soon”

The new bicycle lane on Tirana’s Zogu I Boulevard, while Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj declared that 4000 new bikes will arrive soon for the city and that this is just the first lane of the 10 km project.
“This is the first segment, more than 1 km, on the most romantic street for bike lovers. It is surrounded by tres and protected by cars, as never before in Tirana. Of course, the lane will connect with the New Boulevard. Then we will continue building the Smaller Ring bicycle lane, and the on on the main boulevard. We are placing red traffic stoppers for bicycles”, Veliaj said.
The Mayor declared that the purpose is to create a minimal network of protected lanes which will encourage its usage in the city.
