Veliaj: Tirana nurseries will be ready by September 15th thanks to volunteers

Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj visited on Saturday volunteers who are helping reconstructing nurseries of the city as the new season approaches. He explained for the media that out of 31 nurseries in Tirana, 29 have been adopted by private businesses while the Municipality was taking care of the remaining two.
“We have been obliged to demolish some of them”, Velia said, adding that some 2 million USD have been provided till now from private businesses to cover the costs that otherwise would have been impossible handling with the Municipality budged..
Veliaj said former administration left a 31 million USD bill owed to private contractors which hardened his aim for the nurseries to ready on September 15th. He explained he chose asking people to volunteer as it was the only pragmatic way to resolve this issue.
