The Minister of Social Welfare and Youth, Erion Veliaj, visited a
manufacturing business in Shkoder and declared that the government will
present a new package this month, with a 2.7 USD fund that will
encourage opening of new jobs.
Veliaj says that a deep reform will be completed with the insurance scheme, which has created a financial gap of 420 million USD.
“We are in the phase of stabilizing the pension scheme, and I want to inform you that it is very important that with the new scheme, businesses will pay full contributions with the real payments of employees. Our package has 2.7 million USD in the employment fund. We also have the ‘manufacturing package’ to increase the creation of new jobs”, Veliaj declared.
The minister announced that the government meeting will be held in Kukes this Wednesday. “We will gather the Albanian and the Kosovo governments in Kukes to return dignity to this town that afforded the exodus of Kosovo Albanians who left their homes because of the war”, Veliaj declared.
During a meeting with the administrator of a manufacturing enterprise, Gjergj Liqezja, who is also Consul of Honor of Austria, Veliaj spoke about the possibilities of transferring the social insurance of Albanian immigrants to Austria, and also for opening an Austrian school of information technology in Tirana.
