Veliaj signs social agreement with youth

The candidate of the majority for the Municipality of Tirana, Erion
Veliaj, answered to the concerns of the youth of the Albanian capital,
which were drafted in an agreement.
“We will have a fund for encouraging employment exclusively from the municipality. Since the pilot-project for encouraging employment worked in the central government, we must propose the Municipal Council to use it only for the employment of graduated youth”, Veliaj declared.
Veliaj added that his Municipality would be able to employ 1200 young people each year.
Another concern presented by the youth, was the student card which has been discussed so much but nothing has been done so far. For this concern, Veliaj gave a deadline.
“Within the first year we will produce the student cards”, he promised, and denounced an abusive act that according to thim is being done by the Tirana Municipality.
“They are renegotiating the agreements for urban buses to leave to the Mayor of the next four years unnegotiated urban lines. I will say here in public that those agreements will be canceled. Whoever negotiates one week before the elections, will be brought to justice”, Veliaj declared.
The meeting was concluded with Veliaj signing the agreement and promised to focus his work on the youth.
