Veliaj repeals old Tirana’s development plan

The new development plan for Tirana was the focus of a cooperation
agreement signed between the Tirana Municipality and the Ministry of
Urban Development.
Veliaj said that the new plan will be ready within one year, for all 24 units of Tirana, around the dountown and in the suburbs.
The Minister of Urban Development, Eglantina Gjermeni, underlined that it is time to end the urban territorial chaos of Albania.
“I think this cooperation process will be successful thanks to the previous cooperation that we have with Veliaj”, she said.
According to Veliaj and Gjermeni, the new development plan aims to offer a plan that will focus on the 10, 20 or 30 upcoming years of Tirana, and not just for one mandate.
