The Minister of Social Welfare, Erjon Veliaj, reacted for the Saranda
scandal, in which a Socialist Party representative asked sexual favors
in exchange of a job.

Minister Veliaj reported the perverse act, and declared that besides an economic assistance for Elvira Gega, they have offered psychological counseling for her daughter.

“Our staff is taking care of the flagrant case in which the name of the minor came out. We are taking case for treating the situation through professionals, not through the political hysteria of opposition parties”, Veliaj declared.

He appealed citizens to look for jobs only ion the respective offices that are spread throughout the country.

“The only public office is the Employment Office. The other offices are not from the government. We saw today how the Vlore office works. People apply, gets connected to a business, the funds are moved and the employment process gets going”, Veliaj declared.

He released these declarations during a visit in a lumber processing company in Vlore, which benefits from the scheme.
