The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, was guest of honor at the XIX edition of the Convention of Construction Entrepreneurs in Italy, held in Naples, as Mayor of a city that has gone through an infrastructural and economic revival, attracting investors and promoting new jobs.
Veliaj was received by the Naples Mayor, Luigi de Magistris, with whom he discussed the possibility of deepening the economic, political and social cooperation between both cities, underlining that Naples and Tirana have many things in common.
Veliaj said that this meeting will soon be followed by a visit of the Naples Mayor to Tirana, to lay the foundation on which both cities will build cooperation in tourism, agriculture and IT.
“I am looking forward to Luigi de Magistris visit to Tirana, to start once again, after 500 years, a strong relation with Naples. It is a duty of the new generation on this year of Skanderbeg, we need to reaffirm new ways on how to cooperate. This could start with making an exchange of artifacts, part of our culture, such as letter of Skanderbeg or other heritage of 500 years ago. Of course, by laying the foundation for other works in tourism, agriculture and IT”, Veliaj said.
