The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, visited the underground parking project at the site of the former “Rruga e Elbasanit” playground.
“I am very enthusiastic about this project”, Veliaj said, “This was attacked the same as every other big project we have done. As you can see, we are building the second underground parking store. There will be another one and on top we will bring back the playground. This was another badly-managed area, which was given to private operators in an area that desperately needs a parking space”, Veliaj said.
Veliaj said that when he was campaigning for Mayor, Tirana had no underground public parking places. “Today we are currently building the third one. We will go on with the fourth one at the Qemal Stafa area”, Basha said, adding that Tirana is now behaving as a modern city.
The parking space will offer 145 parking spots in total. It will have a ventilation system and fire protection.
