The Mayor of Tirana, also the candidate of the Socialist Party, reconfirmed once again that Albanians will go out and vote on June 30th for the Mayors that will lead their cities in the next years.
Veliaj said in a live interview for Euronews that the Election Day is not decided by the Prime Minister, but by the Constitution, which states that the elections should be held every four years.
Veliaj said that the EU and USA are clearly supporting June 30th as the Election Day, while the opposition’s decision to boycott them is due to the fear that its corrupted leaders have from the judiciary reform, which has the strong support of the Eu and USA.
Veliaj said that this reform will affect many people, and most of Albanians want to stay away from the Russian influence that is sponsoring the protests of the opposition.
