After the strong declaration of the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Mathew Palmer, who said that if today’s protest will have violence, Basha and Kryemadhi will be held responsible, the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, reacted with a declaration.
Veliaj said that the good news is that Albania is not left without friends. “Today’s news was extraordinary. The DAS mentioned Basha and Kryemadhi by name, saying that if there will be violence, the entire world will know that they will be to blame, they will be held responsible in front of the justice”, Veliaj said.
The Mayor added that in the USA, there is an ongoing investigation about dirty Russian funds that have been used by the Democratic Party.
“A party that produces personalized umbrellas for every protester, is not the party of the poor people. It is clear that there is undeclared funding. Fortunately, there is an investigation in the USA for the Russian money that is funding the Democratic Party”, Veliaj said.
